Ho ho ho 2012!!!! Welcome to Scrappyluvs Whymsical Christmas & New Years Blog Hop!!! The holidays have just sped by and the upcoming year is just around the corner! I hope that you can jump on board this hop with such talented ladies and take a peek at some of our holiday crafting. The first day of this hop was all about Christmas and today itt is all about New Years, given the option to the participants to throw a whymsical twist to their projects by using non-traditional colors/ideas. I hope you enjoy and at the end of the hop I will be awarding a surprise gift to one random blogger and a $20 credit to Design on Cloud 9 store you just have to follow the requirements:

Now for today's project I did another 2 page LO. The them I wanted to use is to say goodbye to this year with its good and bad, and welcome 2012 with open arms! Again for this project I used the Recollections line Jingle Bells. I used bling from Recollections also. The stickers I used on the second page were Sticko and the first page Recollections. I wanted to use the color green because it has nothing to do with golds and silvers. The color green to me means balance, peace, and self-respect. I added the pink as a contrast because it is a fun color and the stars mean the future.

For my project I did a 2 page LO featuring CHRISTMAS TIME. I used glitter stickers from Creatology for the title. All of the paper used comes from Recollections Jingle Bells. I colored 2 Magnolia stamps with Prisma colors. The lights on top of the title are Jolee's. Finally the ornaments are from the Recollections line. I like a lot of pictures in my LOs so I thought this was perfect and the blues and pinks I fell in love with. I hope you enjoy this Christmas project with a little extra color!!

For today’s proyect I decided to do again a little bit of vintage. I used cream color cardstock and distressed at the edges. The frame and the girl in the middle came in a pack from K&Company. I distressed the edges and I also distressed the picture of the little girl. Is it me or does she remind you of some older Coke advertising? Anyways I hope you enjoy and come back tomorrow!!
Para mi proyecto de hoy quise hacer poquito Tintagel otra vez. El papel es color crema con distress alrededor de lo de afuera. El marco y la foto de la niña son de K&Company. No se si soy yo nada mas pero la niña me recuerda a unos comerciales que hice Coca Cola hace unos anos. Espero que disfruten y regresen mañana!!

For today's project I wanted something bright and cheerful! My cardstock is a bright pink color. The blue snowflake paper comes from a Recollections stack at Michaels. The reindeer, snoflakes, and sentiment came from a company called The Yellow Bicycle. Finally I distressed the edges of cardstock and blue paper. Enjoy!!
Para mi proyecto de hoy quería hacer una tarjeta con colores que alegraran. El papel de la tarjeta es un rosa fuerte. El papel azul viene de Recollections de la tienda Michaels. Los stick Herz los conseguí de The Yellow Bicycle. Finalmente hice distress alrededor de la tarjeta y el papel. Espero que les guste!!

For todays' card I wanted to experiment vintage style since I have never tried it before and I think it went ok. I used cream color cardstock and distressed it with some Tim Hotz. the paper is from DCWV Immortal Love. Finally the sentiment is from K&Company. I hope you enjoy, and any tips on vintage style would be really helpful!!
Para mi tarjeta de hoy quería experimentar poquito lo Tintagel ya que nunca e hecho algo así. Utilice papel color crema y le hice distress con tinta de Tim Holtz. El papel es de DCWV Immortal Love. Helllooo ladies!!! Welcome to the 1st day of Scrappyluv’s 2 Week Card Birthday Celebration!! My birthday lands on Christmas Day so I thought it would be great to post different cards for the next 2 weeks straight! I’m sorry for the short notice of this event, but I just thought of it today and figured it was a great idea!! Let’s get started!! My first card is being entered in the first contest of Latinas en America making a Christmas project using non-traditional colors. It was so much fun because I love to use all different types of colors, especially my favorite PURPLE!!!

Mi cumpleaños caí el 25 de Diciembre y se me ocurrió hacer 2 semanas corriditas de tarjetas navideñas!Disculpen por la notificación tan corta pero asta hoy se me ocurrió esta idea y me encanto!! Vamos a empezar!! Mi primera tarjeta es para participar en el primer reto de Latinas en America! El reto es hacer un proyecto navideño pero utilizando colores no tradicionales. Me divertí mucho porque me gusta experimentar con diferentes colores especialmente mi favorito MORADO!!
My card has purple cardstock even though it looks a little blue. It has a strip of Duck ducktape Zig-Zag Zebra. I also used a Recollections Santa Claus stamp and some blue flower bling. Finally I distressed the edges. Hope you enjoy!!
Mi tarjeta tiene papel morado pero se ve un poquito azul en la foto. Tiene un pedazo de Duck ducktape Zig-Zag Zebra. Utilice una estampa de Recollections y un poco de bling azul. Finalmente hice poquito distress alrededor. Espero que les guste!!
