Whymsical Christmas & New Years Blog Hop Day 2

Ho ho ho 2012!!!! Welcome to Scrappyluvs Whymsical Christmas & New Years Blog Hop!!! The holidays have just sped by and the upcoming year is just around the corner! I hope that you can jump on board this hop with such talented ladies and take a peek at some of our holiday crafting. The first day of this hop was all about Christmas and today itt is all about New Years, given the option to the participants to throw a whymsical twist to their projects by using non-traditional colors/ideas. I hope you enjoy and at the end of the hop I will be awarding a surprise gift to one random blogger and a $20 credit to Design on Cloud 9 store you just have to follow the requirements:


  • Become a follower of ALL the blogs
  • Leave a comment on EACH blog for BOTH days
The winner will be chosen December 30th and announced on the blogs!!

Now to the fun stuff!! If you are coming from any other blog, then you got lost along the way. This is the first blog, so you are right on target to begin!!

Now for today's project I did another 2 page LO. The them I wanted to use is to say goodbye to this year with its good and bad, and welcome 2012 with open arms! Again for this project I used the Recollections line Jingle Bells. I used bling from Recollections also. The stickers I used on the second page were Sticko and the first page Recollections. I wanted to use the color green because it has nothing to do with golds and silvers. The color green to me means balance, peace, and self-respect. I added the pink as a contrast because it is a fun color and the stars mean the future.

    Jessica, very cute idea of doing 2011 and 2012 L/O pages. I have a New Year's L/O from my daughter's scrap book from 32 years ago. I am going to update her book, since I first started. I love the bright colors and am going to add some more bling to her page. I love your definitions of the color choices and why you chose them. tfs Tami
